Because Marie Antoinette is one of my case studies I used this website to help me.

As the film I have chosen to use as my case study as a postmodern film is Skyfall I found this interesting essay about the film, it helped me a little but was an interesting read.

A film that I had questioned on using as my case study is Sofia Coppola's Marie antoinette and I think that this website raised some interesting points.

This week I found another slideshare document, however it is explaining the different Postmodern theories and theorists.
Here is a paragraph explaining Postmodernism that I found helpful
Postmodernism is a broad term used to describe movements in a wide range of disciplines, including art, philosophy, critical theory, and music. Many view postmodernism as a response to the preceding modernist movement, but where modernism simply reacts against classical concepts, particularly in the arts and literature, postmodernism takes this reaction to its extreme conclusion. Indeed, some see postmodernism not as a separate movement, but simply as a continuation of the modernist struggle.

Moulin Rouge and Postmodernism
I have decided to choose the film Moulin Rouge as my Postmodern film case study. I believe that this film has many post modern elements. Here is a presentation I found explaining different postmodern elements to the film.
I looked at this slideshare document as I believe it will be useful when revising for the exam.
Lady Gaga - Bad Romance analysis
The Video is mainly shot with high key lighting. The clothes and outfits that Gaga wears emphasises her Star iconography as the audience can identify that from the couture she is wearing that it is her as well as suggesting that the clothes are expensive as they are couture and from designer Alexander McQueen. Similarly at one point it is as if Gaga is on a fashion catwalk this highlighting her taste and influences in fashion. Also the video has a narrative which is about Lady Gaga being kidnapped and then sold. Gaga performs dance routines with intertextual references to 'Thriller' as well as suggesting that she is a show woman and entertaining making her fans want to see her perform in concert. As the song is of the pop genre it follows the usual conventions of a pop music video by including several dance routines. The video also contain lots of voyeurism as there are many shots of her naked or wearing underwear, this is exhibitionism, this interests the audience as well as making the video controversial.
